Youth Minister/Pastor Position Kingdom Baptist Church, www.kingdombaptistchurch.org in Waldorf, MD is currently seeking a Youth Minister/Pastor for its Waldorf, MD ministry location. Compensation: Our present ministry economics does not afford us the genuine need to hire a full time Youth Minister/Pastor at this time so this would be a part time position with various stipend/honoraria opportunities. I am confident that as your sincere ministry efforts are manifest in this position compensation and eventually, full time compensation will follow either directly through the Church or through grants. Currently, Associate Ministers receive no less than $100 per preaching engagement. Kingdom pays for select continuous education classes. Per request, all monetary contributions can be designated toward one's housing allowance and/or educational expenses so that all stipends/honoraria would be tax exempt (for credentialed clergy). I. General Responsibilities would include the following: Youth Minister/Pastor: Providing Spiritual leadership and discipleship to the teenagers of Kingdom and maintaining a deliberate effort to reach out to the community to attract community teens to Christ and the ministries of the Church. Engage formal and inform dialogue with the parents of the teenagers involved with various teen ministry programming to acquire their input and their support. Teach Teen Bible Study on Wednesday Nights and Sunday School and/or organize others to assist with teaching responsibilities. Teach/Preach at least annually/bi-annually during our main worship service and other services as scheduled. Schedule other Youth Pastors/Ministers to minister quarterly during our worship services and during evening 4pm worship services. Provide pro-active connections with teens and their families as they visit the Church and provide timely follow up/contact with such teens. Plan quarterly teen recreational activities that would appeal to the teens of our fellowship, but also community teens as well. Plan and coordinate all teen related activities through the Family Ministry Chairperson. Meet with the Senior Pastor either in person or over the phone meetings once per month. Meet with Church Leadership once per month on third Tuesday (or per request). As an Associate Minister: As a minister at the Church, you may be scheduled to teach/preach during our 10am worship service on a rotating schedule with the other Associate Ministers. Provide assistance to the Pastor of the Church with visitation to sick/afflicted, follow-up and pulpit assistance. Preach/Teach/attend community meetings on behalf of Pastor at Kingdom or abroad in case of need/emergency. II. Candidate for this Position must Possess the Ability to: Provide one's own unique giftings to the ministry to the glory of God. Manifest a pliable heart and a willingness to follow Pastoral authority and the organization structure/policies of the Church. Lead a teenager through the process of becoming saved and converted. Maintain a lifestyle in line with Biblical principles in order to disciple and inspire teens into a life and continued Christianity into young adulthood. Counsel/disciple teenagers who may be facing various adolescent issues, continuously pointing them to scripture and a Christian lifestyle. Plan events regularly and in advance that are in line with the spiritual and sometimes natural interest of teenagers. Possess the ability to dialogue and be flexible with ministry partners both within the Body of Christ and abroad - municipal executives and other outreach partners.
